Red Bull Butter Cup

The Red Bull Butter Cup series and its custom-built butter pads will invade the 4278 terrain park on Saturday March 6th, 2010. Red Bull Butter Cup is a contest series that showcases creativity in technical flatland trickery. Born in the northeast in 2009 and bred for the country in 2010, it’s all about going back to the basics of what made us all fall in love with shredding in the first place: FUN!

Butter up and cut loose on the custom Red Bull butter pads and bring your bag of tricks. Style and creativity is the name of the game and the competition is hot so the cream will rise to the top. The jam session format keeps the action flowing while riders battle in Pro and Am divisions for cash and fresh gear. Only trick sequences that include buttering will count so hit the snow and start polishing your skills.

Spring Sesh build preview…

Spring Sesh still a go…

Everyone has been asking if the Spring Session is still on, and as of right now it is… we are even trying to figure out if we can get a cat up in the park to get some of the landings worked out and dialed in…. stayed tuned for more s’updates and shinfo

Spring Session build…

Made some progress on the set-up for Spring Session today… Pushed up a nice sized hip and started moving some rails around…. stay tuned…

Spring Sesh’

Spring Session as of right now is still a go, scheduled for Saturday the 18th… We’re hoping to get a little cat time and set some rails, as well as push the hip that was such a hit last year…

We’ll keep you posted on all the super technical details about the setup, including incline ratios of the transverse transitional cross section, as well as possible gravitational variations that we all know you’re chomping at the bit for…

In all seriousness, the set up will be the lower half of foxfire, with a couple hits, and lots of jibs… Most importantly, we’re looking for sunny skies, high fives, and rail slides….

Quarterpipe Build

Not much has been going on lately up here in terms of the park, just some general maintenance since the last build out. We’re stoked on how things are right now, and for the most part the snow is holding up really well considering it’s nearly 60 degrees outside again today… Hopefully the rain doesn’t smack us around too badly, and tomorrow brings some cooler temps to slow the process.
We laid the first cut down on the quarterpipe at the base of Yodeler yesterday, and although it isn’t where we want it to be, with another cut on friday and some hand tuning it will be good to go. I’d say it is somewhere in the 16′-18′ range in terms of height, and the upper section is probably 20′ across… There is a lower sub section that is probably in the 8′-10′ neighborhood which we are going to place a pole tap on, so that should be pretty fun and add a different dynamic to the feature… Either way, we’ll get some testing in on it, and dial it in on Friday
